Rural architecture

Living styles of people main dominant factor in design: be it an urban
or rural environment…demonstrate how?
In rural environment organization of spaces play crucial
part making public spaces a pivotal element…. Discuss how?

In general, rural housing comprise human habitation
and animal habitation…. these different areas need to be
merged or separated in evolving planning concept.
Rural areas in adjacent to cities remain a point of
conflict, and more so rural pockets getting engulfed by
urban expansion, case of Chandigarh need to be highlighted.

What role do materials play in creating a rural environment?
Have they got any role at all now? Right from the vegetative
material, animal skins, stone, timber in different forms, brick & clay
tiles, and recently added materials in the list such as galvanized
iron sheets etc What is the meaning read by their additions in the rural environment?

Construction methods based on different use of materials
need to be highlighted again. The idea of self-help and community
participation needs to be adhered to, explain that fully well in this context.
